Family friendly and laid-back offering a multitude of different musical styles with classic and modern acts, plus entertainment, children's area, art and crafts, and a truly festive atmosphere.

This year GuilFest takes place at Stoke Park, Guildford in Surrey with the dates confirmed as Friday 16th to Sunday 18th July 2010.

Unlike some other festivals, you can immediately feel that this festival with a capacity of 25,000 is being run to give everyone a great time, rather than to get rich quick!

Line-up

Confirmed acts include Friday headliner Orbital, Saturday headliner The Human League, and Sunday headliner Status Quo plus The Wonder Stuff, Ali Campbell, Alvin Stardust, Young Knives, 65DaysofStatic, Just Jack, N-Dubz, Level 42, 10cc, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, The Blockheads, Hawkwind, Hadouken, Chase & Status (DJ Set), The Blackout, My Passion, The Soldiers with Rock Choir, and many more. 10cc, Mungo Jerry, The David Goo Variety Band, and Redwood are among the big-hitters all featuring in The Backline Live Acoustic Stage on Sunday.

The line-up for the eFestivals Comedy Tent includes Milton Jones, Ian Cognito, Trevor Crook, James Sherwood, Pat Gallagher, Ivan Brackenbury's Hospital Roadshow, Abandoman, Steve Gribbin, Sean Percival, Philberto, John Moloney, Barry Castagnola, George Egg, Dan Evans, Danny Ward, and more.

The line-up is always quality, so there's more enjoyment to be got from the bands than you might expect and there's also late night entertainment.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £100 for an adult weekend, or £110 weekend with camping. Children between 12 and 16 years old tickets are priced at £50 for the weekend, £60 for weekend with camping. N.B. Children between 12 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged under 12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult. Campervan tickets are priced at £60.

Day tickets are available Friday adult tickets are priced at £40, Saturday or Sunday tickets are priced at £45. Kids tickets are priced at £30 for each of the three days.

Entertainment

There's live music over seven stages, comedy in the eFestivals Cosmic Comedy tent, The Man In The Moon Theatre Tent, The UNISONzone hosted by the public services union and will be hosting the ever popular Unsung Heroes Live Sessions, Farmer Giles' barn dance, children's entertainment, street theatre, art and crafts, and delicious food from around the world. There will also be a late licensed 150 foot beer tent bar which means nobody has to wait very long for refreshment, cocktail bars, and lots of clean toilets throughout the site and camping areas.

Kidzone

The extensive Kidzone features fun, games, theatre and activities, with circus performances, face painting, and fun rides. On the Sunday it's over to the children for the annual Kids Parade, where the children get to show the rest of the festival what they have made over their weekend.

Performance times

The music starts at around 5pm on the Friday, and noon on Saturday and Sunday. Music finishes at 11pm on Friday and Saturday, with an earlier 9:30pm finish on Sunday. With late night comedy for night owls.

Disabled provision

The festival also caters for visitors with disabilities – both the Main and 2nd stages have viewing platforms and the festival also provides a dedicated camping area, toilet facilities and stewards who are there to help. Visitors with disabilities are recommended to visit the Accessibility pages on the festivals web site.

Car parking

Car parking is right next to the festival site so no long walks heaving camping gear for anybody.

Camping

The campsite opens at 10am on Thursday morning, with the main site opening at 10am Friday Morning. The campsite has entertainment on Thursday night with a bar and disco!

Off site

Facilities adjacent to Stoke Park include The Guildford Lido which is only 2 minutes walk and The Spectrum Leisure Centre, great for hot showers, a sauna or a swim. The historic town is itself only 10 minutes walk away and has shops, cafes restaurants, bars and pubs galore; Guildford even has its own castle!
